Want to Share
Your Story?

At Grieve Leave, we believe all grief deserves space. Whether you've lost a person, a relationship, your health, or a future you thought you'd have. There's something powerful about putting your story into words and discovering that someone else gets exactly what you're going through.

A few things we look for in submissions:
  • We prioritize stories that offer a fresh perspective on grief and grieving—something that helps our community think differently or feel less alone.
  • We're especially interested in the full spectrum of grief, including non-death losses like caregiving, infertility, divorce, estrangement, career loss, chronic illness, identity shifts, and more.
  • The Grieve Leave Blog welcomes stories from people of all backgrounds and beliefs. Submissions and publications may include personal experiences with faith or spirituality, but we prioritize stories that can resonate with and support readers regardless of religious or spiritual beliefs.
  • We receive many wonderful submissions and can't publish them all. We typically prioritize stories that bring a unique voice, experience, or insight to our readers.
Here's how to submit a blog post:
  • Every blog post is a little different, but they're generally 1,000 words or less.
  • The strongest blog posts introduce you, share your loss, explore what grief and grieving look and feel like in your life, and reflect on what you've learned along the way.
  • We'd also love for you to include 2–3 photos of yourself and, if applicable, photos connected to your loss.
  • Please include a short bio (1–2 sentences).
  • When you're ready, email your draft and photos to hello@grieveleave.com.
  • If we decide to feature your story, we'll edit and polish it together before publishing.

Note: We can't post every submission we receive, but we read every single one
